January Wrap-Up

Posted on February 2, 2011

January brought fun times for the cowboys and cowgirls at Willows Child Learning Centers!  Pre-school, Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten classes enjoyed Western Round-up Days complete with Chuckwagon lunches and Rodeo events.  Children saddled up their stick horses and raced around barrels as they learned about the Western way of life.

Willows Arapaho-Hills had some very special guests.  Miss Rodeo Colorado, Kelsie Purdy; Miss Rodeo North Dakota, Sam Stanke; and Miss Rodeo America, McKenzie Haley came to teach the children about what special skills they had to demonstrate to become Rodeo Queens.  The Kindergarten classes were very excited to attend the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.  The children loved seeing all of the animals, munching on popcorn and soda, and the bull riding of course!

Willows Child Learning Centers also welcomed pets of all shapes and sizes during Pet Week!  Furry, fuzzy and scaly friends visited the Pre-school, Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten classes to help all the children learn about how to take care of pets.
